The Catawba Valley Medical Center expansion modernized and expanded emergency and cardiac care services through a five-phase renovation and construction project. The new heart center centralized heart and vascular services while adding expanded cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, behavioral health rooms, CT and X-ray facilities, patient care areas, nursing stations, and emergency department spaces. The project also improved support areas, including staff offices, waiting areas, the ambulance bay, lobby, and break room, allowing the hospital to increase capacity and provide more comprehensive care.
